My interest in fitness began at university when I joined the Lancaster University Karate Club back in 1989. It was whilst working towards my 3rd dan black belt nearly 20 years later that I invested in some personal training with a local personal trainer and this is where my real passion for fitness began. I developed not only a keen interest in training but also in sports and remedial massage. After many years as a teacher of History, I made the decision to change career and focus on helping people achieve their own health and fitness goals as a personal trainer myself. I am passionate about people having the ability to move freely and be able to perform in a range of disciplines. At ABC I not only offer personal training but also regularly lead the lunchtime, evening and weekend classes.
