I have been passionate about fitness from a very young age. At the age of 5 I started playing football, eventually playing for local clubs around Middlesbrough, representing Middlesbrough Town and also Cleveland County. Then, from the age of 16 I learned to enjoy lifting weights at a local gym.
After completing a sports degree at Durham, I played (and currently still play) for Yarm and Eaglescliffe FC. I also truly found my home at ABC and fell in love with training and haven’t looked back since!
After university, I became a teacher in a SEMH school teaching P.E. to children with social, emotional and mental health issues. My years in teaching have developed my interpersonal skills, enabling me to interact with a broad range of people and has also provided me with lots of experience of coaching people of all ages and abilities, too.
Since joining ABC I’ve seen it grow and improve week by week. I always bugged Andy saying what a great place it is and how I’d love to be part of the team. Now, as an ABC trainer, I get to showcase to everyone how great ABC is.
As a PT, my focus is on functional fitness, developing strength alongside cardiovascular endurance. My aim for my clients is for them to become as strong and fit as they can possibly be, allowing them to complete day to day activities outside of the gym more easily than they ever imagined .
