On Sunday 27th February, five members of the ABC Arrows made the hour-long journey to County Durham to take part in a Wild Deer Events race at the Derwent Reservoir, a race transferred from Lambton Castle due to storm damage to the grounds.

Both the five miles and ten miles races started at 9.30am and, despite the very cold temperatures – just 1 degree at the beginning of the race, participants soon warmed up and it ended up being a fantastic event with stunning views. Dan Steer and Andrew Burton completed the five miles race whist Nicola Smart, Jamie Robertson and Jude Gray opted for the ten miles option.  All were delighted with their wooden medal and pair of socks at the end of the gruelling course!  Already looking forward to the next event.
