ABC’s annual walk took place on Saturday 7th June from Whitby to Scarborough. Previously, the ABC walk has completed the stretch from Saltburn to Whitby in both directions but this year, it was decided to complete this next section of the Cleveland Way.
Despite the weather forecast suggesting that it was highly likely to be a very wet day, we were incredibly lucky, and only a few walkers were hit by a rain shower towards the end of the route.
Unlike previous years, there were options for people to walk a shorter route. Some just walked the 6.5 miles from Whitby to Robin Hood’s Bay before getting the bus to Scarborough. Others continued on to Ravenscar (another 3.5 miles) whilst the hardiest walkers completed the full 20 miles, ending their walk at Scarborough’s North Bay.
It was a fantastic day with over 40 people participating and supporting each other in true ABC spirit.
