So far, 2025 has seen a number of ABC members competing in Strongman/Strongwoman competitions across the North-East.
In March, Catherine ‘Cici’ Murdoch won second place in her very first competition in Chester-le-Street. Meanwhile, in May, ABC trainer, Adam Laverick returned to competition, taking part in a Masters Strongman event at Bishop Auckland Football Club, whilst Louise Neasham and first-time competitor, Laura Lister, competed at Northern Strength in Hartlepool. Finally, Matthew Hughes competed in the ‘Conquer the Castle’ event at Scarborough Rugby Club.
The next competition on the cards is a Truck Pull/Push Challenge in Darlington on 26th July. Louise, Cici, Matthew, Laura, Oliver Riddle and Josh Reid all plan on entering.
