With lots in the news about the clandestine Christmas Party at No.10 Downing Street last year, the topic of Christmas parties was on everybody’s lips.  However, at ABC, it wasn’t Boris and his ministers that were being discussed but arrangements for the ABC Christmas night out.

Due to COVID, there was no party last year, so spirits were high in preparation for this celebration.

ABC is all about community, and rather than pay for a buffet, it has become traditional to have a ‘shared table’ with each person attending the party contributing one food item.  As usual the ABC members did not disappoint.  There were some outstanding contributions, particularly from Duangporn Cooper who brought a selection of dishes from her Thai takeaway business.

Entertainment took the form of a karaoke, where there were stellar performances by James Baines, Jordan Jacques, Paula Clark, Muzi Fayana, Joe Maphosa, Kenny Matthews, Peter Cooper, Louise Barber, Emma Hewling and Jude Gray.

Gym owner, Andy Burton, during his speech to members, thanked everyone for their on-going support to ABC, particularly through lockdown periods over the past couple of years.  He emphasized his promise to constantly re-invest in ABC to reward members for their loyalty, and the new mezzanine is a great example of this.

Overall, a fantastic evening was had by all.  Next years’ ABC Christmas night has already been booked for the same venue to be held on December 17th 2022.
